Assolutamente consigliato! Derry M2024-06-05Verified Sadiri Lodge-excellent for wildlife. I spent four days/three nights at Sadiri Lodge in May of this year and there are many positive things I want to say about my stay. The chalet I was given was large and clean. It was surrounded by mature trees which provided plenty of opportunity to observe bird life.Sleep quality was excellent. The food served at Sadiri was top class-three great meals each day plus snack food in between. There was also great variety in the food served from day to day....The guides were excellent-Raul,Ernan and my own guide Sandro. These people have an amazing knowledge of the wild life of the Amazon region and are excellent at their job. When I arrived I had only a general interest in the bird life of the region. When I left after 4 days my interest had increased a lot largely due to Sandro and the enthusiasm he has for his work.....The walks we took several times a day were most enjoyable and provided plenty of opportunity to observe the wildlife of the area. There are, however, some issues which need to be looked at: 1) I expected hot water in the bathroom but there was none.An attempt was made on the second day to rectify this but with no success. For 4 days therefore I had cold showers, particularly uncomfortable towards the end when the weather turned cold. This was also the situation in at least one other chalet. 2) Wifi was available but only in the dining room.It was very slow and sometimes did not work at all. 3) I expected that the chalets would be serviced every day.Not so.I requested on the second day for mine to be cleaned and it was eventually. On the third day I was asked if I wanted my chalet cleaned.I refused the offer as I felt I was the only one making this request and I did not want to appear too demanding.I believe that the chalets should be cleaned every day and that the guests should not have to ask. 4) I was told that Sadiri was a private lodge open only to people who had paid to stay there. This was not so.For three of the four days that I spent at Sadiri a number of outsiders-people who were not staying there-spent several hours at the lodge each day. They availed of the veranda to observe the birds, discussed matters with the guides and rested in the dining room.I do not know if they were asked to pay for all this but I do know that on one occasion they had lunch free of charge.....I felt very foolish because I had paid for everything and got nothing free of charge.....I understand that the grounds surrounding the Lodge are open to the public as part of Parque Nacional Madidi but I feel that the Lodge itself should be private and should be open only to those who are staying there.......Sadiri Lodge is top class in so many ways as I pointed out at the beginning but the issues mentioned above need to be addressed as a matter of urgency. keith h2023-11-08Verified Serene & Beautiful Experience. A beautiful Lodge set in Madidi National Park. We spent 4 nights here & I could happily have stayed much longer. We were met at Rurrenabaque Airport & once we had " checked in " at the Head Office in town we took the mainly untarmac-ed road to the Lodge , stopping once or twice to view birds of interest. Our guide , Ricardo & driver , Rainer had a case of snacks on board which was very welcome after our early start that day from Cochabamba. The journey takes a couple of hours , more if stopping to look at birds. Just before reaching Tumupasa we turned off the road & entered Madidi , passing a forest check point. 5 kms along a dirt track we stopped & walked a few hundred yards through the forest whilst our vehicle went on a bit further to offload our gear. At no point can you get a vehicle right up to the Lodge so when one goes out in one you have a downhill walk of 5 or 6 minutes to reach the main track & an uphill walk back. We were greeted with cold drinks ( most welcome ) & all our gear was carried to our cabins which are spread out in forest a fair distance from the Lodge. The Lodge itself is wooden with a thatched roof & here is where you dine , relax on some comfy sofas or sit on the balcony from which many sightings of birds & animals are possible. A small bar sells drinks. My sincere thanks to the ladies in the kitchen for consistently serving up fabulous food at every meal time. The food was imaginative & delicious - great soups every night & incredible plantain chips. Also , many thanks for providing vegan dishes for me. Ricardo is a brilliant guide & exerted his talents to provide for our request to concentrate on Parrot species , particularly the elusive Rose Fronted Parakeets. We went out from the Lodge several times. One memorable afternoon we stood on the grassy plaza in Tumupasa waiting for Chestnut Fronted Macaws to arrive for roosting. Eventually , as dusk was turning to darkness , they arrived in numbers , squawking & flapping amongst trees near the plaza. Another time , just off the Tumupasa to Ixiamas rd we were lucky to see a Great Potoo with its chick perched on a branch. The Cabins , like the Lodge , are wooden & thatch. Very comfortable twin beds with the best fitting mosquito nets I've seen , electric charging point & well appointed bathroom with unfailing hot water. Many thanks to all the staff for making our visit so pleasurable. There is Wi/ fi which is pretty sporadic & unreliable & you may get a power cut but nothing can detract from the beauty & serenity of staying at Sadiri Lodge. Philipp S2023-10-31Verified Best spot in Bolivia. One of the greatest expiriences i have had in my life. Quiet place, great food and outstandingly nice people. Great place for birdwatching and relaxing. In the madidi national park. Rooms in a league above everything i expected. Great project! Peter T2023-05-20Verified Authentic Personalised Experience Sadiri is a beautiful place to stay and experience the wildlife of Sadiri. The guides are very knowledgeable, friendly and focus the experience on what you want to see. They will cater to your group throughout your stay. The food is fantastic and authentic to the local area, everyday you get three home cooked meals, lunch and dinner are three courses. I would thoroughly recommend as your first choice to stay to experience Madidi! Jen N2022-11-04Verified Awesome BIRDING experience!! We had 4 AWESOME days at Sadiri Lodge!! We arrived Tues and left Friday. We had the place pretty much to ourselves and it was so quiet and peaceful! We went principally to see birds and we added at least 90 new species to our life list. We had a private guide Ricardo Cuqui. He was very knowledgeable. One example is when we were walking along the road (near Sadiri) he heard the fly pattern of the Red-necked woodpecker so we stopped in our tracks and saw a marvellous pair right next to us. We also saw some species we never expected like the Rufous-crested coquette. The meals and rooms were pleasant. The staff was great. Speaking Spanish, although not a necessity is a plus and enriches the experience. If you plans on going on walkabouts for birds or wildlife you should be in fairly good shape physically because it's 900 mtrs altitude or 3000 feet. It's cooler than Rurre, but is very humid. We wouldn't plan on visiting here in deep rainy season Jan - Mar because the road from Rurre to the Lodge could become a nightmare quickly from what we asked. valemariposa802022-10-18Verified Exciting experience! A wonderful experience with a special guide that really knows in detail the forest and its animals. I couldn't ask more! The time spent in the forest with Ricardo was a great one, not only because I could see animals such as Spider Monkeys (twice), tens of birds, squirrels, etc. but because Ricardo is a person who knows in depth and loves the forest and he is really able to involve you in this world from deep inside. The whole staff was extremely professional and kind: the waiter Fatima, with her warm smile, as well the cook Nora, their job was perfect to make you feel at home in their home. I really suggest you to leave the forest with Sadiri staff, since it is a 5 stars experience. Es wäre sehr schön gewesen im gleichen Bett wie mein Partner zu schlafen. hypotemuse2022-06-26Verified Incredible birding trip I had a wonderful time staying at Sadiri Lodge. I had initially planned a 3D2N birding trip but I liked the experience so much I extended it by another day, which they accommodated with no issue. My guides Raul and Hernan were super experts at birding by ear especially, and helped me see 80 new lifers (impressive considering I have prior birding experience in Bolivia). I sent them a list of targets beforehand and they custom tailored everything specially for me and the birds I wanted to see. They know the birds and the landscape like the back of their hand. Many thanks to them!! The food and accommodation were first-rate. I had many dietary restrictions which they attended to with care at every meal. Dora's cooking was also very delicious and healthy. They provided quality hospitality and service -- I ended up being allergic to the down pillows but they switched it for me with no issue. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind and generous and I am grateful for their hospitality. I will definitely return in the future! Mark I2022-04-18Verified Sadiri Lodge - Simply Incredible Amazing experience - we arrived at Sadiri Lodge and were blown away by the surroundings, the sensational hospitality from Rodrigo and Ronnie, the amazing Cabana’s and Maria’s incredible cooking! Situated in Madidi National Park, you immediately feel like you’re in the heart of the Amazon basin. This special national park is one of the most biodiverse places in the world and at Sadiri Lodge you feel like you have the place to yourself! Ricardo, our guide, is an incredibly skilled bird-watcher and somehow finds the smallest of wildlife mainly using his ears! The equipment provided is super high quality (telescope and binoculars) which makes the whole experience even more special. The hosts at Sadiri Lodge are also more than willing to share their culture, being from a community based for centuries at the heart of the Madidi National Park. It is so so interesting just being around them, hearing their stories and histories and learning about an ancient culture, protected for so many years. My fiancée Sarah and I are not bird-watchers or wildlife experts by any means but you got a real sense of seeing some rare and special birds/animals in this unique part of the world purely from the skill, knowledge and enthusiasm of Ricardo. Itineraries are completely flexible and we even saw a Jaguar on our night hike through the rainforest! Special shout out also to Gera who’s helped us out so much in arranging the trip! Responded quickly, was highly attentive and always ensured we were safe and looked after. All in all, I couldn’t recommend Sadiri Lodge more highly. The Covid pandemic has hit countries such as Bolivia particularly hard and the more people that come and visit places like Sadiri Lodge the better for the amazing people of Bolivia and in particular Madidi National Park. Again, Ricardo, Ronnie, Maria - you were amazing! A highlight of our 3 month trip to South America, and that’s saying a lot from such an amazing continent!Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
